Matrix Booking introduces a new team priority solution to its workspace management software. This new feature will:
- give groups prioritised access to book desks, meeting rooms, car parking spaces, or any other resource before opening up to others
- suggest available resources where a user is a member of a group
- identify areas where groups have been given prioritised booking on a floor plan
In a world of hybrid working where office attendance is flexible, it can be difficult for organisations to dedicate workspaces and desks for teams or departments. Research by Steelcase suggests that having a dedicated space where employees collaborate increases office attendance.
According to the research, spaces that are shared amongst a team become “office neighbourhoods”. These neighbourhoods provide a level of confidence and comfort so that people are able to find their teammates and the tools they need for their work.
What are the benefits of team priority?
This new feature will provide teams a base within an office and give them priority access to work areas, desks, and meeting rooms. If these resources aren’t required, they are then released for others to book. This frees up your valuable workspace.
For example, a desk bank of 10 desks can be prioritised to your Finance Team who are allowed to book these desks up to 1 month in advance. Any desks that remain available can then be released for booking by the rest of the organisation 1 day in advance.
