Matrix Booking was born out of Keytree, which was acquired by Deloitte, and many of our people have been involved in shaping our products and services from day one, back in 2013.

A passionate believer in doing business the right way, Karl oversees our strategic direction, making sure we’re always delivering on our customers’ needs, ethically and sustainably.

Karl has long been driven by a passion to help customers create workplaces that nurture collaboration, support employee wellbeing, and help organisations operate sustainably and efficiently. 

A seasoned IT and business leader who has run a variety of software-as-a-service companies, Karl took over as our CEO when we were spun off from Keytree Ltd in 2020. He’s since overseen a successful period of growth, with more than 100 new customers choosing our software to enable them to embrace hybrid working. 

He also believes passionately in doing business the right way, and has been the driving force behind our journey to become a certified B Corp, and our carbon-reduction initiatives. 


Paul Scott CTO Matrix Booking

Paul is a product and technology specialist with a keen interest in early-stage and growth technology companies, and is the Chief Technical Officer here at Matrix Booking.

Paul and his team are focused on building, delivering, and supporting the Matrix Booking platform and applications, to help our clients navigate the rapid changes in the resource management and workspace booking sector. This includes helping organisations tackle the challenges posed by the shift to hybrid working, and the need to manage office space and resources effectively.  
Paul’s built up much of his technical expertise in the financial technology sector, working with large-scale asset managers at the forefront of the introduction of electronic trading, which was also the inspiration for co-founding his first startup. What followed has been a pathway that has seen him closely involved with a number of early-stage technology companies in a variety of sectors, from B2C engagement through to alternative payment platforms.

Ian’s masterminded a number of our most successful innovations and has driven Matrix Booking from start-up to the solution it is today.

Ian’s been with Matrix Booking since the very beginning. One of our founding employees, he’s drawn on professional experience spanning IT, ecommerce, HR and marketing, to play a key role in growing a nascent idea for office booking software, into a product that’s used around the world by some of the most recognisable brands. 

As a passionate customer advocate and leader, Ian drives organisations and teams to deliver to their full potential. During his time here, he’s been behind a wide variety of enhancements to Matrix Booking, including our fast and simple onboarding process, and our comprehensive service offering.


Neal leads the team that ensures our products continually delight our customers, as well as our accessibility work. 

Neal Griffiths

Neal oversees our team of designers, quality analysts, technical writers, and data scientists to ensure our products and services continue to meet and exceed customer expectations. 

He’s been involved in user experience (UX), user interface (UI), product design, and accessibility for more than 25 years. During this time, Neal’s helped organisations shape successful applications in areas including data and analytics, HR, payroll, and consumer-facing financial services. He now draws on this broad experience to help our customers navigate the challenges associated with the switch to hybrid working in a range of sectors. 

Matt Bailey, Director of Sales, Matrix Booking

Matt overseas the sales, customer success, and marketing teams at Matrix Booking, and defines the strategic vision for customer acquisition, and retention.

Matt looks after the sales, customer success, and marketing teams at Matrix Booking managing the respective teams, and setting the strategic vision for how we attract, convert, and subsequently look after our customers. Having worked in SaaS sales for high-growth technology companies for more than 15 years, Matt brings expertise in how to scale a successful commercial operation, and keep the team happy. 

Away from work, Matt spends time combining his twin passion for sport, and his family by coaching junior rugby, and cricket attempting to defy the ageing process by trying to continue to play cricket for as long as possible.

Jade Loftus, Delivery Manager, Matrix Booking

Jade has two important roles at Matrix Booking, representing our Employee Ownership Trust on the management team, and leading our product delivery function.

Jade makes things happen at Matrix Booking! An experienced product delivery leader with a background in edtech, she makes sure we get the right features and functionality into our customers’ hands at the right times. 

She’s also part of the management team, where she represents the Matrix Booking Employee Ownership Trust. A long-time advocate of employee ownership and the ability for this type of business to drive positive social change, Matrix Booking’s employee-centric model was one of the things that attracted Jade to come and be part of the journey. 


Adam works tirelessly to ensure our customers get maximum value from their Matrix Booking products and services, and that we continually refine these to meet their ever-changing needs.

Nikki’s passion is ensuring that our customers enjoy exceptional service every time they interact with Matrix Booking. As the one responsible for overseeing both our onboarding team, and our support function, she’s perfectly positioned to make sure the knowledge we need to solve each customer’s workplace challenges is captured, retained, and acted on. 

Having worked in software for more than 20 years, across all aspects of the delivery lifecycle, she brings extensive experience of understanding diverse customer requirements, and has a fantastic knack for quickly identifying and championing solutions.

With increasing numbers of central government organisations looking to share buildings with others, Kieron makes sure we continue to meet the needs of modern workplace hubs.

A keen believer in the positive impact that hybrid working can have on employee wellbeing and productivity, Kieron has spent the last couple of years supporting the expansion of the UK government hubs network, to drive efficiency in the public sector.  

He’s been involved at Matrix Booking from day one, before which he spent around 20 years working for some of the world’s largest companies across the Americas, Europe, and the UK. As well as using this wealth of experience to support Matrix Booking’s customers, Kieron advises workplace startups and investors in the software-as-a-service space. 


Matt works closely with NHS and local government organisations, ensuring we continue to deliver solutions that help navigate their resource management challenges.

Matt has spent the last 10+ years helping public sector organisations implement world-class resource management SaaS platforms within their workplace. During this time, he’s assisted organisations across the NHS and local government with the adoption of software as a service solutions to enable them to switch to flexible and hybrid working.  

Quick to understand public sector clients’ unique challenges and ensure we continue to evolve our products and services to meet them, Matt has been the driving force behind Matrix Booking’s work to support the adoption of flexible working across the sector, and the concept of resource-sharing between public sector organisations. This is helping enhance the value and efficiency of the public sector estate, giving our customers more time and resources to focus on vital front-line services.
