Accessibility statement (web app)
This accessibility statement applies to the whole of the website at the subdomain of: https://app.matrixbooking.com.
This website is run by Matrix Booking Ltd, and we want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen and without content being truncated or overlapping
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
How accessible the website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- Some images are present which do not add context or content on a page.
- Some non-interactive elements receive focus when navigating with a keyboard.
- Some page content updates without advising the user.
- Page titles do not uniquely reflect the contents of individual pages.
- Some headings, buttons, forms, lists and visual headings are not marked up correctly to reflect their purpose for screen reader users or voice activation users.
- Some content within pages has poor colour contrast.
- Interactive elements are present that do not have a focus indicator to inform users of when their focus is on the element.
- Some text boxes and dropdown lists do not have a text label or are not marked up correctly to describe their purpose.
- Content is not able to be viewed without scrolling in two dimensions when the viewport is changed.

Some parts of our website may not work for everyone. The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
Non-compliance with accessibility regulations
- A list element is present that is not marked up correctly (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1 Info and Relationships).
- Images are present which do not add context or content to the page and are not given null alt values. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 Non-text Content).
- Non-interactive elements have been given a role of button and a tab index value but do not perform any function. (WCAG 2.1 success criteria 2.4.3 Focus Order, and 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value).
- ARIA roles are present which are not used correctly or have invalid values (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value).
- Page headings are present which are not descriptive of the content on the page (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.6 Headings and Labels).
- Content is not able to be viewed without scrolling in two dimensions when the viewport is set to 320 CSS Pixels by 256 CSS Pixels. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.10).
- Some content is difficult to read as it does not have sufficient colour contrast (WCAG 2.1 success criteria 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum), 1.4.6 Contrast (Enhanced)).
- Some active user interface components (controls) and meaningful graphics may not be distinguishable by people with moderately low vision due to insufficient contrast (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.11 Non-text Contrast).
- Interactive elements are present that do not have a focus indicator to inform users of when their focus is on the element. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.7 Focus Visible).
- Form fields are present which do not have visible text labels or do not accurately describe their purpose. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions).
- Page content is updated automatically on input on the Available Meeting Rooms page. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 3.2.2 On Input).
- Page titles are present which do not uniquely reflect the contents of the individual pages. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.2 Page Titled).
- Form elements are present which are not correctly labelled to inform screen reader users of their purpose nor allow voice activation users to access the elements using the visual label, an icon is present to infer the label name; however, this is not programmatically determinable for screen reader user (WCAG 2.1 success criteria 1.1.1 Non-text Content, 1.3.1 Info and Relationships, and 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value).
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 12 March 2024. The website was last tested on 30 November 2023. The test was carried out by The Digital Accessibility Centre Ltd.
We followed GOV.UK guidance on deciding how to check the Matrix Booking website as follows:
1. We conducted a manual WCAG audit, including testing by disabled users on a representative subset of pages.
2. We identified a minimum representative subset of pages that contain examples of the most common layouts, components, and features, including:
- The header and footer.
- Important “unique pages”.
- Pages with text content and data tables.
- Pages with informational images and images of text.
- Interactive elements, such as lightboxes, forms, tabbed interfaces, and content filtering.
