As an employee-owned business, one of our core values is a commitment to helping the local community and charities where possible. Christmas is a time for giving at Matrix Booking so we supported two local charities during December 2022.
Swansea Women’s Aid
Swansea Women’s Aid is a charity organisation that provides support and aid to women and children experiencing domestic abuse in the Welsh city of Swansea. Their services include a 24-hour helpline, safe accommodation for women and children, and support for women in the community. They also offer support and guidance to help women rebuild their lives after leaving abusive relationships.
The team at Matrix Booking feel passionate about this great cause, and as a result, we made a cash donation in addition to 17 Amazon Fire Tablets for young children in their refuges to play and learn.
Cots for Tots
Cots for Tots raises money ‘to save and transform lives at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital’ in Bristol. The special care baby charity also provides free ‘home from home accommodation,’ called Cots for Tots House, for families of babies being treated at the hospital.
As part of our commitment to corporate social responsibility, we decided not to send out physical Christmas cards. We turned the costs of the cards into a donation of £1,210.00 to Cots for Tots, another charity that the Matrix Booking team feel deeply passionate about.
