Think Smarter Working for Public Sector 2018

Matrix Booking Managing Director Kieron Murphy is a guest speaker at this year’s Think Smarter Working for Public Sector 2018. Kieron will share with delegates the lessons learnt from delivering a range of significant projects to help local and central Government departments realise their vision of smarter working.

In its seventh year, Think Smarter Working for Public Sector 2018 will focus and offer a forum for informed discussion around the adoption of identity in public services. The conference is about new tools and technologies such as software-defined networks, which present an opportunity for the public sector to change the purchase and operational models for connectivity radically. It’s also about adopting different thinking.

Matrix Booking – Hubs through the ages (2015 – 2018)

The conference approach slots in perfectly with the transformational work delivered in the public sector by the team at Matrix Booking, who have been helping a range of local and central Government departments to work smarter by setting up and managing Collaboration Hubs.

Since 2015, Matrix Booking delivered projects including the Ministry of Justice commuter hubs, the HMRC and Government Property Unit flagship hubs as well as innovative local government collaborations across Cambridge and Staffordshire.

Kieron will address delegates and talk through a short series of “Hubs through the ages (2015-2018)” – featuring some outstanding questions that will both inform and confuse those who are embarking on the next steps of their smarter working journey.

Kieron said: “We have seen a seismic shift in how the Public Sector approaches smarter working over the last few years. I am excited to share my thoughts on current and future trends, to hearing from other experts in this field and a sharing of fantastic ideas, plans and strategies.”

On the day, Kieron will be joined by a selection of speakers from the public sector who will impart their knowledge around the future direction of all elements of public sector technology, of the frameworks that are available and of their experiences as ‘prosumer’ users in Government.

This event aims to address and highlight the work-smart tools and technologies to watch, how organisations embrace change and drive better, more collaborative working and how to tackle the challenges that can hold back departments from achieving smarter working outcomes.

Matrix Booking is at the forefront of public sector collaboration hubs – setting up an award-winning commuter hub for the Ministry of Justice, which also incorporates the National Archives, the Food Standards Agency and the Crown Prosecution Service. The successful project was awarded the BIFM Workplace Impact Award 2016 and the inaugural EuroFM Partners for Innovation Award 2017.

HMRC is the latest Government department to experience the power of the Matrix Booking engine as it is providing a seamless user experience for staff using the brand new flagship HMRC Hub in Croydon.
