This accessibility statement applies to the whole of the website at the subdomain of: https://app.matrixbooking.com. 

This website is run by Matrix Booking Ltd, and we want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to: 

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen and without content being truncated or overlapping 
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard 
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software 
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver) 

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand. 

How accessible this website is 

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible: 

  • Some content within pages has poor colour contrast. 
  • Some page sections, buttons, forms and visual headings and status messages are not marked up correctly for screen readers. 
  • Some text boxes and dropdown lists do not have a text label or are not marked up correctly to describe their purpose. 
  • Some buttons are not fully accessible to screen reader software. 
  • Predicted search results are not fully accessible to screen reader software.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below. 

Non-accessible content 

Some parts of our website may not work for everyone. The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons: 

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations 

  • Some page sections, buttons, forms and visual headings and status messages are not marked up correctly (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1). 
  • The table in the ‘Profile – Email notifications’ page is missing a column header (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1). 
  • Some visual headings are not marked up correctly (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1). 
  • At zoom levels of 250% or above, some content on most pages is truncated. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.4 and 1.4.10). 
  • The text will not reflow in a single column when you change the size of the browser window. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.10). 
  • Some text, headings, links, buttons are difficult to read as they do not have sufficient colour contrast. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.3 (Contrast) and 1.4.11 (Non-text Contrast). 
  • Some buttons on the ‘Welcome – View on Map’ page cannot be operated using a keyboard. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.1.1). 
  • Some (Google Maps) map links do not have a focus indicator, which makes keyboard navigation difficult. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.7). 
  • Predictive search results are listed when a few text characters are entered into a combo box, so they are not fully accessible to screen reader software. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 3.2.2). 
  • Some text boxes and dropdown lists do not have a text label or are not marked up correctly to describe their purpose. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 3.3.2). 
  • Some forms and buttons have an incorrect or invalid programmatic role, so they are not fully accessible to screen reader software. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.2). 
  • The search form in the Welcome page does not have an alert notification of the status message ‘Sorry we could not match any results’, so it is not fully accessible to screen reader software. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.3). 

Preparation of this accessibility statement 

This statement was prepared on 1 st November 2021. The website was last tested on 1 st October 2021. The test was carried out by Test Partners Ltd. 

We followed GOV.UK guidance on deciding how to check the Matrix Booking website as follows: 

  1. We conducted a manual WCAG audit on the representative subset of pages. 
  2. We identified a minimum representative subset of pages that contain examples of the most common layouts, components, and features, including: 

3. The header and footer.  Important “unique pages”. 

4. Pages with text content and data tables. 

5. Pages with informational images, images of text. 

6. Interactive elements such as lightboxes, forms, tabbed interfaces, and content filtering. 

7. We conducted two rounds of fixing and retesting, such that most WCAG non conformances and user experience issues have been fixed.
